"security" questions

if you're here because you are affiliated with a web site that requires one or more "security" question answers and were directed here when you attempted to use one of my answers...

Seriously, think this through. Where did you come up with such a crazy idea? I know, "everybody else is doing it." Congratulations on embracing the lowest common denominator. You are requiring that your users disclose deeply personal information to you so that you have an easy and convenient way to make up for the security shortcomings of your site. You are compromising your users' security and showing disdain for
